The short answer

Wegovy (semaglutide, Novo Nordisk) is a single-dose pen that lives in the fridge at 2–8°C (36–46°F). If needed, a pen can be kept between 8°C and 30°C (46–86°F) for up to 28 days before use — once, not repeatedly — and never used after that window or its expiry date. A frozen pen must be discarded.

Single-dose pens change the math

Unlike Ozempic, every Wegovy injection uses a fresh pen — so a month of travel means four pens, and they’re all on the storage rules until the moment you use them. One pen riding warm for a week is fine inside its 28-day allowance; four pens riding warm for a month is the whole allowance spent on your entire supply.

Traveling with Wegovy

For trips under a couple of weeks in mild weather, the 28-day window genuinely covers you — pack pens away from heat and use them in order. For summer travel, long trips, or anywhere the bag might pass 30°C, keep the supply refrigerated: the Svalto™ Cooler Pro holds 2–8°C for 7–18 hours on swappable airline-legal batteries with a live display, and takes up to 5 slim pens — a month of Wegovy with room to spare.

Quick answers

Does an unused pen go back in the fridge after being out?

Returning to the fridge is fine, but the 28-day room-temperature allowance doesn’t reset — it’s a single budget. When in doubt, note the date it first came out.

Flying with a month of pens?

Carry-on, never checked (the hold can freeze). X-rays are fine. Full walkthrough in our TSA rules guide.
