Your biologic travels at fridge temperature. The display says so.
Autoimmune biologics are refrigerated medicines with short room-temperature allowances. The Svalto™ Cooler Pro holds 2–8°C for 7–9 hours per swappable Power Cell, and reports the chamber temperature live.
Autoinjectors and prefilled syringes.
Most biologics ship as a prefilled syringe or a single-dose autoinjector. The chamber measures 17.8 × 5.0 cm; capacity depends on the shape of your device, so we quote it by geometry and label it typical.
| Device shape | Examples | Typical capacity |
|---|---|---|
| Prefilled syringes | Compact refrigerated syringes | 5 syringes |
| Single-dose autoinjectors | Pen-style biologic injectors | 3 pens |
| Wide-body autoinjectors | Larger-format injectors | 2, nose to tail |
| Vials | Refrigerated vials | 5 vials |
Biologics vary widely in packaging — measure your device against 17.8 × 5.0 cm before ordering. Your leaflet is the final word on how your medication should be stored.
Thermoelectric, not ice
A powered cold plate holds the chamber at fridge temperature — no gel packs to pre-freeze, no melt, no guessing. It reaches 8°C in about 30 minutes.
The claim is 2–8°C
The chamber adjusts anywhere from 0–18°C; refrigerated pens ride at the 2–8°C setting. The live display shows the chamber temperature the whole trip.
Locked against pockets
Double-tap the power button and the touch panel locks; double-tap again to unlock. A bag can't change your settings.
Metal where it matters
Aviation-grade aluminium body, 27.5 cm long, 900 g — lighter than a filled water bottle.
Built around a boarding pass.
Cordless runtime comes from swappable Power Cells that charge on their own cable, outside the cooler. Every number below is the honest one.
Carry-on friendly; pack spare cells in the cabin, never checked luggage. A cell recharges in 6–7 hours on its own cable — the cooler's USB-C port runs the cooler and doesn't charge a docked cell.
The failure you cannot detect.
A pen that spent an afternoon warm gives no sign. No colour change. No smell. It still clicks — while the medicine inside quietly loses potency. One warm afternoon can spoil a month of doses.
That is why every Svalto surface reports a number. The chamber temperature sits on the display, live, from door to door.

Questions, answered plainly.
Which medications is this for?
Any refrigerated injectable that ships as a syringe, autoinjector or vial and travels with you — including many autoimmune biologics used for rheumatoid arthritis, psoriasis and inflammatory bowel disease, as well as fertility medications and GLP-1s. It is a temperature-controlled container, not a treatment.
How long can a biologic stay out of the fridge?
It varies by medication, and the allowance is usually counted in days, not reopened at will. Some labels permit a single limited room-temperature period after which the medicine must be used or discarded. Do not generalise from another drug — read your leaflet, and ask your pharmacist if the wording is unclear.
How many devices fit?
Roughly five prefilled syringes, three autoinjectors, or five vials, depending on shape. The chamber is 17.8 × 5.0 cm.
Can I take it on a plane?
Yes — it's designed carry-on friendly. Each Power Cell is 37.7 Wh, under the 100 Wh airline limit for lithium batteries. Pack Power Cells in the cabin, not checked luggage.
Can it freeze my pens?
The chamber adjusts between 0 and 18°C and holds medication at 2–8°C — it is a cooler, not a freezer. Frozen insulin or GLP-1 medication is permanently damaged and must not be used, whatever the cause. If a pen has been frozen, don't inject it — ask your pharmacist.
Is it HSA/FSA eligible?
Many customers reimburse it through HSA/FSA; eligibility depends on your plan. An itemized receipt is included with every order — check with your plan administrator.
What if it doesn't work out?
Every order carries a 60-day money-back guarantee and a 1-year warranty.
A cold chain that doesn't care which condition you treat.
The Svalto Cooler Pro is a temperature-controlled container, not a medical device, and it does not treat any condition. Brand names are the property of their respective owners; Svalto is not affiliated with, endorsed by or sponsored by any medication manufacturer. Room-temperature allowances differ for every biologic — your leaflet and your pharmacist are the final word.
