Which fertility medications need refrigeration?
It depends entirely on the drug and the formulation. Some gonadotropins are dispensed refrigerated; others are stable at room temperature until first use. Several common cycle medications need no cooling at all — Menopur®, oral progesterone and Clomid® among them. Never assume from another patient's protocol; your clinic pharmacist is the final word.
Do I need this if my clinic is nearby?
Not necessarily. If a medication is room-temperature stable, or your trip from pharmacy to fridge is short and cool, an insulated pouch is often enough. A cooler earns its place on long clinic days, summer travel, and cycles that continue while you're away from home.
Can I take it through airport security?
